HANOI (24 June 2015) – English Premier League side Manchester City will head to Hanoi for a friendly against the Vietnam national team.
The game which is slated for 27 July will be played at Hanoi’s My Dinh Stadium.
“Without big tournaments in the summer, the English club is set to bring its brightest stars to Hanoi,” said Do Quang Hien, the chairman of Vietnam’s V.League club Hanoi T&T.
“Besides the friendly match, Manchester City will also promote its image in Vietnam.”
Manchester City’s recent surge saw them winning the English Premier League title for the first time for the 2011/2012 season – their first league crown in 44 years.
They did again for the 2013/2014 season.
