JAKARTA (4 July 2008) – Australia have arrived in Jakarta in anticipation of the Asean Football Federation (AFF) Under-16 Youth Championship slated for 9-19 July 2008.
The tournament this year will be played at the Stadium Lebak Bulus. The Australian youth side which is being managed by Joel Freeme came into the Indonesian capital city on Wednesday with 18 players and six officials. The rest of the competing teams for the AFF U16 Youth Championship 2008 will only arrive in Jakarta on 7 July 2008. Australia will play in the opening match of the meet this year against Bahrain on 9 July 2008 with the second match of the day being between Malaysia and Singapore.
