BANGKOK (28 July 2013) – The Thai national team fell to a 3-0 loss to Liverpool in a series of big name friendlies that are being organized in the course of these several weeks in the Thai capital
After beating Manchester United 1-0 in the middle of the month, the Thais then fell to a slim 1-0 defeat at the hands of Chelsea.
And tonight, an early strike from Brazilian Coutinho in the 16th minute gave the Reds just the right amount of confidence to control the game as Thailand struggled somewhat to be effective in the middle of the park.
New signing Iago Aspas from Spain then scored the second goal for Liverpool four minutes after the restart as captain Steven Gerrard then wrapped things up with the third goal on 59 minutes.
Thailand’s next friendly is against FC Barcelona next month.
