BANGKOK (5 Nov 2008) – Thailand will take on Saudi Arabia in a friendly in Riyadh this Saturday.
The match is part of Thailand’s preparation for the AFF Suzuki Cup 2008 which they will be one of two hosts next month. The Thais are in Group B which will be based in Bangkok and where they will be up against Malaysia, Vietnam and Laos. Group B in Jakarta will be hosts Indonesia, Singapore, Myanmar and Cambodia. Thailand national coach Peter Reid said that he will not be calling up new players for the friendly on Saturday where he felt that the set of players he has are already good enough. “I don’t think that I will need any more players for the next match,” said the Englishman (pic). “The 20 players that I have now are good and we also have a good spirit in the team. It is of no use for me to call any more players for the team, unless some sustain injuries.” |
