PHNOM PENH (11 Nov 2013) – Thailand served a warning that they will be the team to watch at the SEA Games this year when they edged Myanmar 2-0 in the final to lift the BIDC Cup 2013 in the Cambodian capital.
The Thais, who have been overpowering the SEA Games scene with eight crowns since 1993 until 2007, showed that they are back at their level best with two goals in each half to win the tournament which is really a prelude to the biennial championship that will be hosted by Myanmar this year.
SEA Games hosts Myanmar simply had no answer to Thailand when Wanit Jaisaen scored the opener early in the fifth minute before Chotinan Veerapattarapong added the second goal in the 77th minute.
