 BANGKOK (28 Sept 2008) – Thailand will take on Iran in the final of the Under-21 Football Tournament Thanh Nien Newspaper Cup 2008 which will be played at the Tu Do Stadium in the central town of Hue.
Thailand beat Asean neighbours Singapore 3-1 while hosts Vietnam crumbled to a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Iran. The Middle Eastern side demonstrated their dominance with goals in the 29th minute off captain Rasoul Kar, 75th minute from Armen, Salalaldin (82nd) and Souroush (86th) for the win. |
