BANGKOK (17 August 2012) – Three-time ASEAN champions Thailand got their preparation for the AFF Suzuki Cup later this year on the right note when they beat the Thai Premier League (TPL) All-Stars 5-1 in a friendly that was played last night.
Teerasil Dangda nailed the opener on 29 minutes before Douglas Cardozo pulled a goal back for TPL All-Stars – a team of foreigners who play in the Thai Premier League – a minute before the break. The score at the half was 1-1.
Sumanya Purisay got Thailand’s second goal right at the hour mark to be followed by further goals from Chartree Chimtalay in the 81st minute, Mongkol Namnuad 88th minute and Adul Lasoh in the 90th minute.
Thailand’s next friendly match will be against Myanmar on 12 September 2021.
