HANOI (Sept 30, 2007) – Thailand and Finland have been named as the two teams which will be taking part in the Agribank Cup which will be held in Hanoi in November.
The announcement follows the recent signing of a formal three-year contract between the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and Agribank. The deal is worth USD 300,000 over three years. Apart from defending champions Thailand and Finland, hosts Vietnam and a representative from central Asia will battle it out for the crown. IN THE MEANTIME, Singapore Under-20 head coach T. Patmanathan has named a 20-man squad which will take part in a four-nation U21 championship on Oct 24-28. The Singapore U20 squad which have been training regularly since the start of this year had taken part in the Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy in Brunei where they failed to make past the group stage. This follows their defeat to Thailand and Malaysia. |
