BANGKOK (13 Oct 2015) – The Chairman of the AFC Disciplinary Committee has today provisionally suspended Suksen Sasiprapha of Thailand following the doping control conducted at the AFC Women’s Futsal Championship 2015 in Nilai, Malaysia.
Sasiprapha tested positive for sibutramine after the match against IR Iran on September 25, 2015. Sibutramine is a banned substance on the World Anti-Doping Agency 2015 Prohibited List.
The provisional suspension of the AFC Disciplinary Committee was issued in accordance with Article 78 of the AFC Disciplinary Code and Article 35 of the AFC Anti-Doping Regulations 2015.
Sasiprapha is now banned from taking part in any football-related activity for 30 days. This period can be further extended by 20 days. Following the completion of the investigation, the matter will be decided by the AFC Disciplinary Committee.
The Football Association of Thailand has been notified of this decision.
