TEN TEAMS FOR VFF FUTSAL CHAMPIONSHIP 2009

The tournament will be played out at the Phu Tho Sports Hall on 21-28 February 2009.

The competing teams are V. Sport-Ho Chi Minh Public Security newspaper, Dat Lanh Real Estate Company, Maseco, Pham Gia Automobile Company (HCM City), Hoang Thu (Da Nang), Khanh Tan (Gia Lai), Sauna (Khanh Hoa), Thai Son Bac, Thai Son Nam and Vietcombank (Quang Ngai).

They will be divided into two groups with the top two teams from each group making the semi-finals.

On offer is the USD1,500 prize money for the winner, with the second best team taking home USD 900 and the third-placed team USD 600.

There will also be the USD 120 for individual prizes for the best player, the top scorer and the best goalkeeper.

The VFF will be using this event to select players for upcoming events in the Asean Football Federation (AFF), Asian Football Confederation (AFC), Asian Indoor Games and also the 25th SEA Games which will be held in Laos.
