JAKARTA (27 Dec 2010) – Less than 24 hours after the explosive first leg final at the National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, both Malaysia and Indonesia have already arrived in Jakarta for the grand finale on Wednesday.
Both teams were greeted by their fans upon arrival.
While Malaysia had a small band of supporters at the Soekarno Hatta Airport displaying placards wishing them all success for the return tie, hosts Indonesia were greeted by a huge crowd at the at East Jakarta’s Halim Perdanakusuma Airport.
Malaysia hold a 3-0 advantage over Indonesia going into the final match of the tournament with two goals from Mohd Safee Sali and another from Ashaari Samsudin.
Malaysia boarded the 9am flight from Kuala Lumpur International Airport while Indonesia returned via a private plane this morning.
The Indonesians did not waste time and had a training session this evening.
Their fans turned out in force to show their support for the national team with PSSI president Nurdin Haled also on hand to watch his players in action.
Malaysia on the other hand did not have a full blown session today at the training pitch but decided on a light workout by the poolside of the hotel here in Senayan.
