BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (8 Sept 2015) – A close 2-1 win over Jerurudong FC this week has allowed Tabuan Muda (the Brunei Under-23) to move up to fourth in the DST Super League 2015.
In the match that was played at Berakas, a defensive mistake after just ten minutes allowed Tabuan to take the lead when Muhd Nur Syazwan Halidi gleefully chipped into goal.
Immediately after the restart, Nur Syazwan punished Jerudong keeper Mohammad Shopian Mat Said when he slammed in the second goal for the Brunei youngsters.
Mohammad Bazli Mohammad Said then gave Jerudong a consolation goal right at the end when he nodded home a freekick.
“Winning the game is a good exposure and it’s a good morale booster for our side. The focus though is not the campaign now, but the upcoming competitions such as the Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy Tournament next year and then the AFC Under-22 qualifiers,” said Tabuan Muda Head coach, Stephen Ng.
