BANGKOK (12 March, 2008) – C.A.S. The T-Rexor took the women’s division of the Thai Futsal League 2007-2008 without dropping a single game throughout their campaign and with a game still in hand.
T-Rexor are now at the top of the women’s league table with an unassailable eight-point lead over their nearest challenger, the Chonburi Bluewave. And last weekend, T-Rexor demonstrated another fine display of team work when they blasted Banglen PTT Dynamic 7-0 to confirm their status. Nipaporn Sriwarom and Orathai Srimanee scored a brace each in the opening ten minutes for a 4-0 lead as T-Rexor then grabbed a 5-0 advantage at the break off Jiraprapa Tubsuri’s 11th minute strike. They then made sure of their crown this season when Sirunya Mamanee struck twice in the same 38th minute of play for the comprehensive victory. In the men’s division in the meantime, Port Authority of Thailand demonstrated their determination to win the men’s title of the Thai Futsal League 2007-2008 when they overwhelmed Suratthani Lightning Shrimp 9-1. Port Authority’s goals were scored by Wuttichai Thintawee (6th minute), Tanakorn Santanaprasit (16th, 17th and 34th minute), Charnyuth Muangchan (21st minute), Marut Piaklayklong (32nd and 34th minute) and Suchin Eiamchalard (33rd minute). Suratthani’s only goal in the game came off Suchart Sapermsup in the 37th minute. Chonburi on the other hand, still maintained a steady pressure on the leaders with a convincing 5-1 win over Bangkok. Thai international Eakapong Suratsawang nailed a brace (1st and 4th minute) as did twin brother Eakaphan 30th and 34th minute while Krisada Wongkeaw scored the other goal in the 14th minute for the win. The league will go into the penultimate stage tomorrow before the last game of the season this weekend at Fashion Island. THAI FUTSAL LEAGUE 2007/2008 – WOMEN’S DIVISION 1. C.A.S.
