SUTEE STUNNER SHUTS LIVERPOOL TO A DRAW

The Premier League runners-up had arrived into Bangkok this week following a 0-0 draw with St Gallen of Switzerland and then a 1-0 defeat to Rapid Vienna.

“We had some chances, we were playing against a team that was well organised and they play quick,” said Rafael Benitez, the Liverpool manager .

“So you come to a new continent and conditions are different, always more difficult, but I was pleased with the performance of some players and also pleased to see Thailand play well.”

Liverpool will play against Singapore next on 26 July 2009 at the National Stadium.
