YANGON (25 Feb 2020) – One of England’s top clubs Tottenham Hotspur held a free football clinic for 240 children in Yangon organized by sponsors AIA.
It was the second clinic held by Spurs – as they are more known as – with the first being in September last year.
The three coaches were Anton Blackwood, Shannon Moloney and Shaun Harris where they were supported by coaches from the Yangon United Football Club.
“AIA GOAL! fully embodies the spirit of AIA: fun, active, passionate, and healthy. We aim to help the youth fulfill their aspirations in a happy and safe environment under world-class supervision. Our coaches, Ms. Moloney and Mr Harris come devoted and ready to help unlock Myanmar’s next superstar footballers,” said CEO of AIA Myanmar Nhon Luc Ly.
“It’s fantastic to be back in Myanmar as part of AIA GOAL! To get the chance to help an enthusiastic group of children make the most of their skills is always fantastic and is an absolute blessing. Myanmar’s youth have a lot of potentials to succeed, and its thrilling to be part of this effort in helping them reach their fullest potential,” added Blackwood.
