YANGON (29 April 2016) – Southern Myanmar signed Nigerian hitman Chika Philip Eze this week in an effort to bolster their campaign for the second half of the Myanmar National League.
After collecting just four points from the first half of the MNL, the signing of Chika – formerly with Horizon – will complete the foreign roster for Southern Myanmar who already have Chukwubunna and Guinean defensive-midfielder Ibrahima Doumbouya.
Eze has been without a club since the 2015 season after helping Horizon to get promotion.
In the MNL, clubs are allowed to sign three foreign players plus one player from ASIA although only three may enter the field at any one time.
