BANGKOK (21 Oct 2018) – Thailand made a smashing start to the PTT Thailand Five 2018 when they smothered England 4-0 in their opening game that was played at the Indoor Stadium Huamark.
But the Englishmen were not overawed by the occasion as they fended off the first half scoreless before the hosts were able to carve out the opener just two minutes after the restart through Warut Wangsama-Aeo.
That was all that Thailand needed as they then picked up the cue to score three more goals through captain Jetsada Chudech (29th minute), Apiwat Chaemcharoen (36th) and Ronnachai Jungwongsuk (38th).
In the meantime in an earlier match, Malaysia were at the wrong end of the court when they were pummeled 5-0 by Uzbekistan.
The goalscorers for Uzbekistan were Artur Yunusov (8th and 31st minute), Dilmurod Shavkatov (10th), Khusniddin Nishonov (14th) and Davron Choriev (34th).
