The score at the break was 1-1 with Prom Puth Sithi taking the early lead for Build Bright University in the 18th minute before Baksey Chamkrong FC fought back with the equaliser through Van Yi five minutes to the breather.

But the second-half proved to be pivotal for Build Bright University when sustained pressure allowed Sam Ath to nail the winner in the 66th minute to bring his side to the next round of the competition.
