KUALA LUMPUR (20 March 2019) – Singapore will take on Oman in the final of the Airmarine Cup final in two days at the National Stadium in KL Sports City.
Singapore made the final after beating hosts Malaysia 1-0 while Oman blasted Afghanistan 5-0 in an earlier match.
Malaysia were on the offensive from the start but their failure to make it count allowed Faris Ramli to strike the winner eight minutes to the end to deny the home team.
In the meantine, Oman showed quality to stroll past Afghanistan 5-0 – with goals from Ahmed Mubarak in the eight minute, Raed Saleh (26th minute), All Balushi (44th minute), Al Maqbali (48th minute) and Musallam Akaak (90th minute).
