SINGAPORE (26 Jan 2014) – The season opening Charity Shield will mark the start of the Singapore S-League this year which has been slated for 21 February.
For the first time, the Charity Shield match between Tampines Rovers and Home United will count as a league tie which means both teams will the three points of the new season at stake.
The two sides had met in the Charity Shield previously where in 2012, the result when to the way of Tampines courtesy of a 2-0 win.
Singapore Charity Shield will be played at the Jalan Besar Stadium.
