BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (9 July 2021) – Seventeen participants completed the FA of Brunei Darussalam (FABD) ‘B’ Licence Coaching Course this week.
Pengiran Matusin Pengiran Matasan, FABD President was on hand to present the certificates to the participants.
The course was conducted by Syah Juan Mohd Nor (from Malaysia), Perkantara Armadi and Muchamad Rifqi Almudin (Indonesia) and Rich Michael Foley (United Kingdom).
“The content of the training focussed on small-sided games which involved a group of players,” said FABD Course Educator Mohammad Ikhmarol Izzat Omar.
“The majority of the coaches come from the clubs and hopefully these coaches can help their clubs do more on the tactical aspect of the game. This training is designed on a tactical approach in groupings.”
After obtaining the ‘B’ Licence, the next level will be the ‘A’ Licence where they first need to complete a two-year period with a logbook totalling about 200 hours.
FABD have reiterated the desire to increase the number of local qualified coaches especially the ‘B’ Licence holders.
