PETALING JAYA (3 Oct 2015) – Marcelo Serpa, the head coach of the Malaysian Futsal team, has announced his squad for the AFF Futsal Championship 2015 which begins this week.
The Brazilian tactician, has dropped three players – Mohd Rahimi Abdul Shatar, Afif Asyraf Muhd Halil and Faisal Saharudin – from the centralized training camp.
“There’s not a lot of a change to the team which I brought to Japan earlier this month,” said Serpa. “The target is of course to make the cut for the semi-finals and we will take it from there.
“Once we are in the semi-finals, the target would be for a place in the final. We have the ability to make the final of course and that is something which we should aspire to considering that we last made it in 2010. We failed to make the semi-finals in 2013 dan 2014.”
