PHNOM PENH (1 Nov 2012) – Senate Secretariat and Asia Europe University will join the top flight of the Metfone Cambodia League 2013 as the two promoted sides from Cambodian Division A1.
The Cambodia Division A1 is organised by the Cambodian Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. Both Senate Secretariat and Asia Europe University emerged champions and runners-up respectively.
The two relegated teams from the top flight were Chhlam Samut and Western University.
In the meantime, the Metfone Cambodia League 2013 will finish two months ahead of previous editions. The season will begin on 1 January 2013 and will end on 15 June. Newcomers Boeung Ket Rubber Field FC defied the odds to beat Naga Corp FC for the crown this year.
In between, the Football Federation of Cambodia (FFC) will also organise the 7th Samdech Hun Sen Cup.
