PADANG (9 Oct 2014) – Semen Padang scored a close 1-0 win over defending champions Persipura Jayapura in the battle of the top eight teams of the Indonesian Super League (ISL) in mid-week.
The early pressure at the Agus Salim Stadium in Padang paid dividend when Muhammad Nur Iskandar scored the only goal of the game in the 15th minute.
Elsewhere, Arema Indonesia were held to a 2-2 draw by Persela Lamongan.
