BANGKOK (4 Aug 2013) – With 46,000 tickets already sold over the weekend, a sellout crowd is expected when the Thai Under-23 team taking on FC Barcelona in a friendly in three days.
The Rajamangala Stadium can hold up to 48,000 spectators.
“We have already sold 46,000-odd tickets for the Barca match, with only a few thousand remaining. We expect a sold-out game as there are still a few more days before the match,” said Sorakrit Latthitham, sponsors ThaiBev’s senior marketing manager.
The last time Barcelona came to Bangkok was in 2002 with their arrival this year, capping a series of appearances of English Premier League clubs Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool FC.
