HANOI (22 August 2024) – Cong An Hanoi FC from Vietnam scored a famous win over Thai League 1 champions Buriram United in their opening game of Group B of the ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup™ 2024/25 tonight at the Hang Day Stadium.
It took the home team three minutes to find the opener through Phan Van Duc before current Thai League 1 leader Buriram equalised from Jefferson Tabinas’ effort four minutes after the restart.
However, the night would belong to Cong An Hanoi FC and Alexander Sebastio when the latter snuck in the game’s second goal in the 66th minute for Cong An Hanoi FC to take their first full points in the group.
