HANOI (5 June 2013) – The Vietnam Under-23 team could not have asked for a better start to their preparation for the SEA Games 2013 when they held J-League side Kashima Antlers to a 2-2 draw at the My Dinh National Stadium.
Following a first-half deadlock, the homesters found the back of the net in the 50th minute off Vu Minh Tuan’s 25metres stinger before Yuya Osaka grabbed the equaliser just a minute later.
Atsutaka Nakamura then made it 2-1 in the 56th minute as Vietnam then found the equaliser in the 79th minute off Hoang Danh Ngoc.
The team is being prepared for the SEA Games 2013 that will be hosted by Myanmar on 11-22 December.
