SLEMAN (31 Oct 2013) – On the night Timor Leste held Indonesia to a scoreless draw, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) decided to suspend coach Hoang Van Phuc.
After a series of unimpressive results including in the on-going BTV Cup, Van Phuc (pix) has been temporarily suspended and where he will be replaced by his assistant, Phung Thanh Phuong.
The U23 squad is being prepared for the SEA Games in December.
In the meantime, Indonesian U23 coach Rahmad Darmawan expressed his disappointment after the scoreless draw against Timor Leste at the Muguwoharjo Stadium last night.
“It is disappointing for sure. We were attacking right from the start but the lack of creativity allowed the opponent to break us down with ease,” said Rahmad.
