SINGAPORE (14 June 2013) – A first half strike from Safuwan Baharuddin was enough to give the Singapore Under-23 team a hard fought 1-0 win over their Philippines counterparts last night at the Hougang Stadium.
Safuwan was on target in the 25th minute as Singapore picked up their first win in two friendly matches. They had earlier drawn 1-1 with Indonesia last week in Solo.
Both teams are using the match to prepare for the SEA Games in Myanmar on 11-22 Dec 2013.
