JAKARTA (12 July 2013) – Rahmad Darmawan, the chief coach of the Indonesian Under-23 team, will be impressing on the need to keep possession when they take on Singapore in a friendly tomorrow night.
Indonesia will play Singapore in a return tie friendly at the Jalan Besar Stadium following the 1-1 draw both teams played to in a friendly last month at the Manahan Stadium in Solo.
“I have stressed on the players on the need to keep possession,” said Rahmad prior to the team’s departure. “We will basically keep to the same strategy we did from the first leg except for some minor tweaks here and there.
“I hope that the players can show better quality in terms of combination play. I hope that the likes of Andik (Vermansyah), Ferinando (Pahabol) and Bayu Gatra can do better. They need to realize that it is the team which is more important than the individual.”
