NAYPYITAW (14 Dec 2013) – The Malaysian women’s Futsal team battled Indonesia to a 1-1 draw in the match that was played this afternoon at the Wunna Theikdi Futsal Stadium.
Rani Mulyasaru found the back of the net first in the second minute of play to give Indonesia the confidence to control the pace of the game, before the Malaysian women replied through Farah Najihah Abdul Aziz in the 32nd minute.
However, the game was marred by the red cards on Indonesian keeper Deliana Fatmawati and then goalscorer Rani.
With the one point, Malaysia moved temporarily to second at the standings behind leaders Vietnam who take on defending champions Thailand in the second tie of the day.
