BANGKOK (7 Nov 2013) – Thai coach Kiatisak Senamuang announced that he is pleased with the draw for men’s football at this year’s SEA Games, less than 24 hours after it was announced.
Placed in Group B of the biennial championship, Thailand will take on hosts Myanmar, Indonesia, Timor Leste and Cambodia where they will play all their matches in Yangon.
“I am pleased with the draw,” said Kiatisak (pix). “We are a bit lucky that we are in the weaker group. I want my players to meet Myanmar in the first round for them to get used to the atmosphere and pressure.”
Group A which will be based in Naypyitaw, will have Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore, Laos, the Philippines and Brunei.
