JAKARTA (19 July 2013) – After two matches against their Singapore counterparts, the Indonesian national Under-23 side has lined up friendlies against Brunei and Timor Leste, just after the Raya holidays.
The plan is for the Indonesian U23 side will play Brunei Darussalam on 14 August while the tie against Timor Leste has yet to be confirmed.
“To play against Brunei Darussalam (on 14 August), we will bring the players together just three days prior,” said Rahmad Darmawan, the chief coach of the Indonesia U23.
“We still have several players whom we have not seen yet even after the first two selection process due to the fact that the league schedule is too tight.”
In the two matches against the Singapore U23 team, the Indonesian squad was held to a 1-1 draw in Solo before losing 1-0 in Singapore.
