JAKARTA (25 Jan 2013) – The Indonesia national Futsal squad is planning a trip to either Australia or Japan as part of their preparation for the SEA Games that will be hosted by Myanmar later in the year.
Yericho Umbas, the chairman of the National Futsal Board (BFN), said that while they are waiting for funds from Satlak Prima – the body responsible for athletic excellence in Indonesia – they have already made plans for the trip abroad.
“We have already made the correspondences with these two nations and we are awaiting their reply and also the agreement from Satlak Prima,” said Yerico.
With the squad of 21 players already identified Andri Irawan, the chief coach of Indonesia national squad added that there will be certain restrictions which will be placed.
“Players will not be allowed to take part in unsanctioned tournaments as we do not want a situation with players getting injured and not available for national duty,” added Andri.
