HO CHI MINH CITY (26 Sept 2013) – The youth side of Turkish giants Galasataray FC will take on the Vietnam Under-23 team in a friendly that will be played at the Thong Nhat Stadium tomorrow.
“This is the first time we’ve been to Vietnam so we do not know much our rival – the Vietnam U23 team,” said Orhan Atik, the coach of Galatasaray youth. “We will not disappoint the fans. Winning in football is not the most important thing.”
Galatasaray have included only two players with international experience and they are goalkeeper Alperen Uysal and midfielder Ismail Unsal while the rest are youngsters.
For Vietnam, they are using the game to tune up for the SEA Games that will be hosted by Myanmar in December.
