HO CHI MINH CITY (1 Oct 2011) – Vietnam and Singapore did not fared well at the Ho Chi Minh International Football Tournament-Eximbank Cup 2011 when they finished third and fourth respectively.
The tournament was won by the Republic of Korea University team with seven points while second was Aspire Qatar (with five points).
Third was Vietnam Under-23 with four points – picking up their only win in a 2-1 over Singapore U23 who had to settle for fourth with no point after losing all three of their matches.
Vietnam lost 1-0 to the Korean team in the opening match before drawing Aspire Qatar 2-2 in their second game.
Singapore on the other hand lost 2-0 to Aspire Qatar and then conceded a 3-0 loss to the Korean side.
Both Vietnam and Singapore are using the Ho Chi Minh International Football Tournament-Eximbank Cup 2011 to prepare for the upcoming 26th SEA games in Indonesia next month.
