HANOI (31 Oct 2011) – The Vietnam women’s Futsal team is not harbouring any higher aspiration at the SEA Games next month other than just to win the silver medal.
With Thailand admittedly the powerhouse in both the men’s and the women’s division, the Vietnam girls are taking the pragmatic approach by looking at winning the runners-up spot in the biennial championship.
The team, under chief coach Truong Quoc Tuan, is currently in Bangkok where other than having an intensive ten-day training course, they will also play five friendly matches against leading Thai clubs.
The Futsal event at the SEA Games will be held on 16-21 November at the POPKI Sport Hall in Jakarta.
