MANILA (25 Aug 2011) – The Philippines Football Federation (PFF) have confirmed India as the opponent for their Under-23 team as part of the preparation for the SEA Games which will be hosted by Indonesia at the end of the year.
“We’ve invited India for a friendly on 6 October and we’re still arranging other schedules,” said Mariano Araneta, the president of the PFF.
“We are inviting teams from other countries in Asia to play with us to hone the skills of our players.”
Araneta pointed out that the FA of Malaysia have declined an invitation to play the Philippines due to a conflict in schedule.
