YANGON (8 Oct 2011) – Former Zeyar Shwe Myay coach Stefan Hansson has taken charge of the Myanmar national Under-23 team on a two-month deal for the SEA Games in Indonesia next month.
Hansson, 54 years old, succeeds Milan Zivadenovic who was fired after Myanmar lost 2-1 to Mongolia at the 2014 Fifa World Cup qualifiers in June.
Hansson was the former boss of several clubs in Sweden, Demark and Norway. He worked at Malmo, which is the former club of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and had also coached V-league side Dong tam Long An.
He moulded Zeyar Shwe Myay to be one of the highly-rated team in the Myanmar National League and had a hand in developing players for the Myanmar national team.
