JAKARTA (13 Aug 2011) – The Indonesia national Under-23 side have drawn matches against South Korea and Hong Kong as part of their preparation for the SEA Games which they will be hosting at the end of the year.
Indonesia will be hosting the SEA Games for the first time since 1997 on 11-22 November 2011.
“We’re planning international friendlies against Hong Kong and South Korea for the U23 team, but we’re still waiting for the head coach’s (Rahmad Darmawan) response before continuing talks,” said Djohar, the president of the FA of Indonesia (PSSI).
“We’re trying to be good servants for the national team.”
The Indonesia U23 team is currently training in Batu, Malang and where following the renovation to the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, they will be playing their friendlies at either Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Badung or the Manahan Stadium in Solo.
