HANOI (7 Oct 2011) – Doan Nguyen Duc, the chairman of Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) has offered VND11 billion (USD 500,000) to the Vietnam national Under-23 as a cash incentive for them to win their first ever SEA Games gold medal.
The 26th edition of the SEA Games will be hosted by Indonesia on 11-22 November 2011.
Nguyen Duc made the statement during a recent visit of Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Hoang Tuan Anh, to the Ham Rong Sports Center in Pleiku City – the headquarters of Hoang Anh Gia Lai FC.
The national U23 team is having their centralised training in Pleiku in preparation for the SEA Games.
The team will take part in the VFF Cup in Hanoi from 19-23 October as their final tune-up.
