PHNOM PENH (29 Oct 2011) – Cambodia’s hope of being in the right frame of mind ahead of the SEA Games next month suffered a blow last night when they fell to a 1-0 loss to the Nepal national team in a friendly that was played at the National Olympic Stadium.
The score at the end of the first half was 0-0.
The only goal of the game came through substitute Santhosh Shahukala five minutes to the end.
The Cambodian Under-23 team are in Group A of the SEA Games 2011 against defending champions Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and hosts Indonesia.
In Group B are Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Brunei, Timor Leste and the Philippines.
