HO CHI MINH CITY (31 August 2012) – Saigon Xuan Thanh won the Vietnam National Cup trophy in commanding fashion when they thrashed Hanoi T&T 4-1 in the final.
In the final that was played at the Thong Nhat Stadium, Saigon made sure of their only silverware this season with goals from naturalised players Huynh Kesley Alves, Nguyen Rogerio, Brazilian striker Antonio Carlos and Le Hai Anh.
With the win, Saigon took home VND350 million (USD16,600) and a place in the AFC Cup 2013.
