BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (25 June 2014) –The DST FA Cup will be making a return this September and is open to all registered football clubs in all four districts of Brunei. The last time the tournament was held was two years ago in 2012.
Organised by the National FA of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD), interested teams can pick up the entry form at the NFABD House and where they will have to submit it before 11 July.
“We will welcome as many teams as possible to compete. It is open to all football teams that registered with the NFABD, and the public can come to the NFABD house for more detail and information,” said Organising Committee member Mohammad Noor Hamid.
“We have not set the actual date yet, but it will be held sometime in September.”
DST Super League teams such as Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB), Royal Brunei Police Forces Sports Council (MS PDB), Indera Sports Club (SC), Liang Lumut Recreational Club Football Team (LLRC FT), Wijaya FC, QAF FC, Kilanas FC, Najip FC and Jerudong FC will feature in the tournament.
Teams from the DST Premiere League such as Lun Bawang, IKLS, Brunei Shell Recreational Club FT, Setia Perdana, Perkasa, Tunas FC, Kota Rangers and Rimba Stars are also expected to join.
MS ABDB were the champions in 2012 when they beat Indera 1-0 in the final.
