BANGKOK (9 Jan 2009) – Peter Reid, the national coach for Thailand is not leaving anything to chance where he is in the midst of doing his homework in preparation of the match against Jordan next.
Thailand have been drawn in Group E of the Asian Cup 2011 qualifying round where they will face Iran, Jordan and Singapore. The Thais will open their campaign against Jordan in Amman on 14 Jan before taking on Iran two weeks later in Bangkok. Only the top two teams advance to the 2011 finals which will be held in Qatar. “’I have to do my homework. I have friends who are working in Dubai and Qatar. They will give me information about Jordan. So I don’t have to be worried about this,” said Reid. “’The players are capable enough to beat Jordan. I am very pleased with them. Jordan have not won for five games and I do hope Thailand will be the next team to beat them.” |
