BANGKOK (17 March 2018) – It might be early season yet, in fact it is just five matches into the new Thai League 1 season but Ratchaburi Mitr Phol have already gone through two coaches inn just under a month.
First it was former German international Christian Ziege, who quit after just two matches while this week, Belgium’s Rene Desaeyere was relieved of his position after suffering two straight defeats.
Ratchaburi lost 2-1 to Bangkok United and then a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Chiangrai United.
“Rene Desaeyere came to help the team when we were without a head coach after Christian Ziege’s departure last month,” said Ratchaburi team manager Tanawat Nitikanchana to the Bangkok Post.
“We are now looking for a person who can understand the needs of the team and its players.
“Somchai Maivilai, the assistant coach, has been with the team for a long time, so we will let him handle the team until we find a suitable coach.”
