JAKARTA (2 Jan 2014) – The FA of Indonesia (PSSI) have targeted winning the AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 as their target this year.
The AFF Suzuki Cup this year will be held in Vietnam and Singapore at the end of the year.
“Under Alfred Riedl, the team had emerged as runners-up previously (in 2010). So this year, we want the team to win the title outright,” said La Nyalla Mattalitti, the head of the PSSI National Team Management.
Towards that, the PSSI are also targeting playing friendlies against teams ranked in the top 70 in the world in the run up to the main event.
Indonesia had never won the ASEAN crown since it was incepted in 1996.
