JAKARTA (26 April 2015) – All 18 clubs in the top tier of the QNB League have voiced their unrelenting support to the FA of Indonesia (PSSI) and also the PT Liga Indonesia – the league organiser.
This public display of support came after a meeting today in Jakarta between all 18 club owners, the PSSI and also PT Liga Indonesia.
PSSI were represented by newly elected president La Nyalla Mattaliti while for PT Liga, they were represented by Joko Driyono.
“We will not follow any competition that is being organised by the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports. We are members of PSSI and as such will only take part in events organised by the PSSI. We will not be part of any of tournament organised by the ministry or anyone else,” said Henry Wairara, the manager of club Persiram Raja Ampat.
“We are members of FIFA and AFC, which means that we can be sanctioned if we take part in competition organised by the ministry.”
The meeting was held after the BNQ League which was supposed to resume yesterday failed to get the necessary police permits to hold the matches.
All 18 club owners alongside La Nyalla and also Joko will be meeting with the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports tomorrow.
