PROVINCIAL WIN THAI PREMIER LEAGUE CROWN IN STYLE

The convincing performance delivered the electric men their first Thai league crown in their history after coming close in the 2004/2005 season when they finished second.

But this time round, there was no denying the Ayuthya-based team from winning the title where they kept pressure at the top of the standings with several consistent performances to edge their better known opponents.

With the win over Coke Bangpra, the hope for second-placed Chonburi FC to steal the crown went asunder even though the latter did what was expected of them and beat Bangkok University with a 2-1 margin.

At the end of the 30 matches in the league, Provincial Electric picked up 61 points as against Chonburi’s 59 points.

Third at the end of the season is BEC Tero Sasana who beat Krung Thai Bank 3-2 in their final game of the season for 55 points.
