JAKARTA (23 Sept 2009) – Indonesia FA president Nurdin Haled has reminded national head coach Benny Dolo that his main priority is handling the national team even though the latter has accepted a position with club side Persija.
Benny was recently appointed as the Technical Director of Indonesia Super League (ISL) side Persija. “As long as the national side is in session with training or competition, Benny has to be with them 100%,” said Nurdin. “During that period, he cannot do anything with Persija. This is something which we are not willing to compromise.” The Indonesia national side will be back in training on 25 Sept in Sawangan in Depok where they will begin with a fitness test. “From the test, we will work on the level of physical, tactical and strategy of the team,” added Benny (pix). Benny has arranged for two friendly matches in October with a match against Persija confirmed for 5 October. The team is being prepared for the 2011 Asian Cup qualifiers against Kuwait slated for 14 and 18 November.
